Visit Cambodia
There is a lot more to Cambodia than just its ancient temples (although those are magnificent!).
On forest and river expeditions you can see rare wildlife, such as gibbons swinging through the trees near Siem Reap or river dolphins in the Mekong at Kratie.
There are wild elephants in the Cardamom Mountains and Mondulkiri Province.
There are some exceptional white sand beaches, especially on the islands such as Koh Rong and Koh Rong Samloeum. The sea is a pleasant swimmable temperature year-round.

Cambodia’s delicious food
Cambodia has its own cuisine, distinct from the Thai and Vietnamese. Popular dishes include fish amok, typically served in banana leaves. This fragrant steamed fish curry is prepared with fresh fish, coconut milk, and Khmer spices that are full of flavour but not too hot. Other popular foods include green papaya salad, grilled eggplant with pork, and beef with black pepper and lime.
There is a wide range of accommodation available, from international hotel chains such as Rosewood, Sofitel, Shangri-La, Marriott, Novotel, Hyatt Regency and others to smaller local establishments. There are also luxury resorts in forest and coastal settings.
